Some general observations:
You can only truly appreciate a poncho while standing in a soccer stadium in the pouring rain with 25,000 other people to see International Grammy award winner Carlos Vives.
The sexiest thing you can possibly say to someone on a steep trail inhabited only by cows is: I will catch you if you fall. Itīs even sexier if you proceed to follow through four or five times in a row.
The only thing you really, really need when travelling is a good pair of shoes.
Remembering Spanish the pop culture way:
Yo La Tengo
Y Tu Mama Tambien
Yo Quiero Taco Bell
And now for the viewer interactivity portion of my online journal! Iīm seriously thinking of deferring grad school admission (once Iīm actually admitted) for a semester, and trying to come back to South America for a good four or five months to practice all the Spanish Iīve learned. Thoughts? Ideas? Advice? This is, of course, contingent on about a million other things, and I havenīt even really done any planning. But any advice would be appreciated. Please respond via the guestbook. It hasnīt seen much action lately.
